Happy Halloween

With all the blood to drink and the kids to eat it is quite understandable that many of us do not have time to celebrate this wonderful day properly. At the very least you should carve a digital pumpkin.

Spook spook on.

(This one rates high on the dorky post factor)

Tornado Bird

The main event this last weekend was the K-State Football game against Iowa State. We ended up winning 31-10 but we didn't play nearly as well as the score shows. We couldn't get anything going until the fourth quarter and by then it just seemed like Iowa State just got tired. The good thing is, is that we are now only one win away from being bowl eligible. And we have a very young team this year so things should only be going up for the next couple of years. Beware Big XII, we will get you like Willie on a Tornado Bird:

Double Wires

Who knew that Spiderman had it so hard? In Double Wires you play the role of a Spiderman like person who moves by shooting wires out of your hands and then swinging. All you try to do is get as far along as possible. It sounds easy, but it turns out to be very difficult. Difficult and very addicting. Addicting and very fun. Check it out.
My high score so far is 38.96yrds.

7 Flint

On Thursday Aaron and I have to give a presentation in our Aztec class. Part of the material that I am presenting on is about Aztec rituals and their calendar system. When I was looking around the internets for some extra information I found a site that converts any date into the corresponding date in the Aztec calendar. I was born on:

Which is the Aztec year of 7-Flint, in the month of 1 - Dog, and on the day of 8 - Motion. A very good day indeed. When were you born?

3 most important things.

Here are the three most important things that happened last week (that I have good pictures of):

1. K-State tricks Nebraska into beating them, thus giving Nebraska an over inflated since of confidence for when they play again, thus allowing the Wildcats to win the Big XII North uncontested next year (Coach Prince is brilliant when it comes to things like this). No, really it was that K-State allowed too many big plays from the Huskers and then couldn't respond with touchdowns of their own. The Cats drives just always seemed to stall once they got close to the red zone.

2. We found a really good recipe for making BBQ Chicken Pizza. The crust was good as well as the toppings.

3. For game night we carved pumpkins and placed glow sticks in them. Chris' Storm Trooper came out really good. For more on this event check out Nicole's blog.

Sony Bravia Ads

Remember the paint bombs video from my Color post last September:

Well it turns out that they were doing that to film another ad for the Sony Bravia:

The last ad from Sony about the Barvia was the bouncy ball ad.

Only the Cardinals

It only could have happened to the Arizona Cardinals. With minutes to go in the 3rd quarter the Cards were up on the Chicago Bears by 20. 20 points on Monday Night Football, against the NFL favorite Bears. Only a monumental meltdown could have given the Bears a chance. Guess who melted down? Everyone except for the Bears defense. Arizona stopped playing extremely well, even Grossman and the Bears offense couldn't get anything done. But none the less the Cards found a way to lose, missing a last second 40 yard field goal to retake the lead. (After Bears fumble recovery for a touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown.) It was probably the saddest game I have ever seen.

Only the Cardinals can make football sad. (Game Recap)

8am woo-buddy!

Do you know how you can tell if you have to get up too early every morning?

If waking up at 8am is considered sleeping in.
...and it actually feels like it.

Internatinal

Yeah, I just saw that the address that I had in my signature for all the emails that I have sent out for the past 4 years was spelled wrong.

Suck it spell check!
Grammar check you're next!

Red Game

Red is a game where you try to keep planets and asteroids from hitting your base and killing you. The game is played by having the random orbs fall from the sky and you defend your base by shooting at them with white anti-asteroid balls. There are the standard upgrades and the such, which any game that calls itself Red must have. Overall the game is simple to learn and simple to play and looks pretty, you should probability check it.

I can't think of a use for it right now in my life, but that doesn't stop me from wanting it:

About like that. (linky)

Michelle, K-State, Jennifer

The bad thing about posting late is that other people already have said what needs to be said. So for more information on the weekend check out Nicole's and Michelle's posts.

But this weekend consisted of three things:

1. Michelle and her friend Lauren came down to rock it with us. A good time was had by all.

2. K-State pulled out a late game comeback over the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Freshmen; Freeman, Patton and Coach Prince looked very good in the win. A good time was had by all.

3. Jennifer from the Stat Dept. came up to watch the game with a friend of hers. She invited all of us to go out with her to make smores after the game. A good time was had by all.

I guess if I needed to summarize the weekend it would be: A goo dime was hand buy y'all.

...wait

Boot to the head

Remember Marcus Vick stomping on a player's leg last year?
Well Albert Haynesworth of the Tennessee Titans one upped him by stomping on Andre Gurode's face from the Dallas Cowboys last weekend.

Gurode got more than 30 stitches.
Haynesworth got five games.
Haynesworth got off easy.

Denver log

Oi vey, I have had alot of things to do for the last two days.

The P(last weekend=fine|circumstances)=1.00 . *Ha Ha stat joke*

The main points from the Denver trip are:
-Car broke down in Abilene, and we put a new battery in it.
-Car broke down outside of Hays, and Amber and her mom rescued us.
-Got the car fixed by Five Star Auto in Hays, Kansas (link bait)
-Car broke down in Colby because Five Stay Auto from Hays, Kansas doesn't know what they are doing and are bad (a crappy car service place).
-Denny from Denny's Auto Repair in Colby, Kansas gets the car.
-The hockey team comes to rescue us.
-We play hockey at the Bladium and go 1-3, with game scores of 5-6, 0-8, 6-3, 2-4. We beat one of the CU teams. Overall we played very well for our first weekend out.
-We ate dinner with all my family from the Denver area.
-My dad drove us back to Colby to pick up the car.
-Denny (From Denny's Auto Repair of Colby Kansas (67701)) is the man and fixes our car for real.
-We make it home.

If you want to see some pics of the adventure check out Nicole's blog.
If we want to see our adventures in comic book form check out Chris' blog.

If your car breaks down in Hays don't go to Five Star Auto.
If your car breaks down in Colby go to Denny's Auto Repair.

Ah the power of page rank.

Base

I made it back, we had some good times last weekend, I'll have a full post about it later sometime.
