Tower Defender

Tower Defender is one of those games that is easy to start playing and thirty minutes later you are still playing it. Commonly this kind of game is called 'awesome'. The games is played by placing towers that shoot at the little guys running around a track. If you don't kill all of the guys by the time they reach the end of the track they kill one of your lives. Each time you kill a guy you get gold so when the waves of guys are over you have a chance to buy more towers or upgrade current ones. You can also research new technology if you get a piece of wood (you get one every seven levels). This game is one of the best in recent times, it's definitely worth a 'check it out'.

Grow ver. 1

It has been awhile since I have posted a game, so here is a new one for you. Grow version 1 is a prequel of sorts to the other Grow games. The point of the game is to grow the object at the start of the game, and the choices you make along the way makes it grow into different things. Its not complicated, but quite fun. Check it.

Also check out Grow Ornament from last year.

Double Wires

Who knew that Spiderman had it so hard? In Double Wires you play the role of a Spiderman like person who moves by shooting wires out of your hands and then swinging. All you try to do is get as far along as possible. It sounds easy, but it turns out to be very difficult. Difficult and very addicting. Addicting and very fun. Check it out.
My high score so far is 38.96yrds.

Red Game

Red is a game where you try to keep planets and asteroids from hitting your base and killing you. The game is played by having the random orbs fall from the sky and you defend your base by shooting at them with white anti-asteroid balls. There are the standard upgrades and the such, which any game that calls itself Red must have. Overall the game is simple to learn and simple to play and looks pretty, you should probability check it.

Crazy Pool

Crazy Pool is a pool like game where you try to get the same colored balls hit each other. There is a certain time limit to each level and you must make all the ball disappear before the time is up. Each level takes only a minute, so it is very easy to keep on playing this for 15 or 20 minutes after you told yourself to stop, if you are into that kind of game.

The highest level that I have finished is 20 with a total score of 3545. Common, give it a try.

Dot

Dot is a really unique game. The object is to get all of the colored balls into the black hole and turn them all black. The way you move the balls is what makes this game different, and, at least for me, very addictive. You have a bigger white ball that draws the smaller colored balls to it like balloons to a fuzzy fuzzy sheep. You must drag the colored balloons up with you toward the black hole, but if you go too fast you will drop some balls. You are in a race against time, and so far my best is 5506. You really should give this game a whirl.

("You" total for this post: eight times, a new record)

Tama (Kodama)

Feel like throwing things? Then Tama is a game for you. All you have to do is get the ball into the red pool for 100 points or the blue pool for 500 points. If you throw it into the black pool you lose a life. There are a total of 20 levels but I can only get to level 14. My high score so far is 2100. Tama is a hard game to play, but it is also one that is hard to stop playing. Check it out.

Insane Orb

Insane Orb is a pong game. A pong game worth playing.
"What?!? You speak crazy talk!" I hear you saying.
No, it is actually a good pong game. Why is it good? Because you have a force field to shoot the ball as well as having gravity wells, falling blocks and even Pac-Man. Oh yes, this game is worth checking out. What's that? You'll get tired of playing quickly? Well just push L and the game will play itself until you are rested. Oh, you should check it out.

Tringo

Tringo is a puzzle game where you place Tetris like pieces to make boxes to clear which gives you points. The tricky part about this game is that you only have a limited area to place your pieces and you can not turn the pieces either. It is fun, and it is addictive. A dangerous combination. Check it out.

p.s. My high score so far is 218.

Arrow Tag

In Arrow Tag you try to pop all the good bubbles while avoiding the bad ones all while having a time limit. Yes it is a very simple game, but it is a satisfying play. I would post my high score here, but I can not do too good right now since I am using a track pad (Level 2 is the highest I can get to now, before with a mouse I was doing much better.) This just in: I just received a call from the Commander of the First National Army of Fun, he says to check it out.

Ringmania 2

Ringmania 2

Qualite Pepere has made a sequel to their Ringmania game. They call it, Ringmania 2. In the game you move a structure around trying to match three colors up so that that they are removed, when all the rings on the structure are remove you move on to the next level. If you need a ten or so minute break from your Wednesday check it out. And then do a crazy dance.

Dumbolf

Dumbolf ("game")

Say that you are afflicted with the illness that the doctors call "a will to live". I bet that if the medical community were aware of this game it would prescribe it to all aforementioned patients. Dumbolf is a "game" where you are playing golf in a side scrolling sort of way. It is actually a really good idea. But the levels, oh the levels, they are painfully hard. I wanted to stop playing many times, but I fought the urge to kill something and finished the game. My reward? A score of 1. Righteous!

So if you think that playing a game would be better than actually doing work on Monday, give this game a shot, you'll be doing work in no time!

p.s. My stroke total was 151, they don't total that for you, they give you an overall score instead.

Short Circuit

Short Circuit

Short Circuit is a neat "dodge the things" kind of game, but the twist is that the music plays an important part of the game, and it will give some indication of what the pattern the objects will fly in. The game is very hard and very fun. Check it.

My high score so far is 11,560. (And I can't even get close to that again, I think I got real luck that one time.)

A Chain Reaction Game

A Chain Reaction Game v.3 (game)

Here is some finals week mindless fun. The point of the game is to blow up as many things as possible using a chain reaction like principle. There really in no strategy to this game, which is a good thing for finals week. So far my high score is 424.

If you should be doing things for school then check this game out.

Zombie Infection Simulation

Everyone knows that the threat of a zombie attack is an important matter of national security. That is why the Zombie Infection Simulation is a valuable piece of research. The simulation takes random population of people (purple dots) and one zombie (green dot) and lets them mingle. When the people see the zombie they panic, and run, while the zombie goes after them. If the zombie catches a person there is a chance that they too will become a zombie. The simulation continues until there are only people or zombies left.

This simulation has showed me a couple of things:
1. Don't get stuck in a dead in with a zombie.
2. Find a remote area to hide in where it is hard for a zombie to find you.
3. In the end everyone will become a zombie, there is no way around it.

Be prepared for a zombie attack! Run the zombie simulation now so that you learn how to maximize your time alive!

Red Square

Since it has been awhile since my last game post, Pickle's suggestion of Red Square was a welcome one:

Red Square

The aim of the game is simple; don't let the red square touch a blue box or a black wall. It is quite hard since the boxes move around faster as the game goes on. It is frustrating, yet fun. So far the longest time I have is 21 seconds, can anyone beat that?

Floats

Floats (game)

Floats is a unique game from Orisinal.

### ...Hold up, hold up... 'a unique'? Not 'an unique'? So the 'u' sound isn't a vowel sound. Crazy. OK carry on... ###

The object of the game is to combine all the little bugs into a one huge bug. The way you do this is drawing a loop around bugs of the same color. (Note: clicking once starts the loop, and the loop will be automatically finished when the line you draw completes the loop. It's not click and drag to draw the loops like I expected.) The bugs will combine into a bigger bug if all the bugs in the loop are the same color. There is a time limit so you have to be sort of quick to finish each level. Even though this game is old, it is still a really good one, so check it out.

I used to be real good at this game, but I don't have my old high scores. I just got a score of around 3000, but I am sure that score could be beat in a couple of tries. If you beat the current high score feel free to post it, also if you see any butter monkeys on sale, pick one up for me.

Laser

Laser (game)

Amber showed me Laser a couple of days ago, and I have meant to get it up ever since. The goal of each level of the game is to turn on all the light bulbs using a laser beam which must be split and reflected to make it go where you want it to. The only problem that I have with the game is that once you complete the level it automatically pulls up a "level clear" box which they place right over the completed level. I wish it didn't do this so that I could bask in my own glory for finishing the level.
Laser over is a good puzzler, and in later levels it gets fairly difficult. It is a good game for a lazy Sunday.

(p.s. the game might actually be called Reflections since that word is actually on the game, but the place that is hosting the game calls it Laser. So call it whatever you want, it is the feel good game of the day.)
