Alarm Will Sound

This morning I had a dream that I was in a store (like a pawn shop or something similar) and I was tired of being there so I decided that I wanted to leave. Right next to the counter was a side exit door that was propped open a few inches. When I got to the door to leave I noticed a sign on it that said "Don't Open Door - Alarm Will Sound". I kind of chuckled to myself because the sign was obviously wrong since the door was already open and there was no alarm going off. So I went through the door out into the sidewalk - and them my alarm went off, as in my 7:30am alarm to wake me up went off - just as I was walking through the door in my dream.

I am sure someone in my brain had that one all worked out and through it would be hilarious joke to play.

Why didn't I heed the sign?

But wouldn't you have been surprised if the alarm went off (in real life) when you DIDN'T go through the door?

This one is gonna haunt me.

Love dreams like that!

I once had a dream that the inside of my house was covered in clocks. One of them started to chime, but I couldn't figure out which one it was to shut it off. I looked, and looked, and looked. It kept getting louder and louder and louder. Turns out it was my alarm.

Earl - Yeah it would have been quite confusing if I didn't go through the door but the alarm still went off. However, I still hold that if I never went through the door I would have just stopped time and I wouldn't ever hear the alarm. Reality works like that, right?

Nej- When I used to have the radio as an alarm that sort of stuff used to always happen to me. When I would finally wake up I would be relieved that I figured it out/annoyed that my brain chose to wake me up in that way.

Yes, I definitely think time would have frozen had you not gone through that door. Which would have been awesome, I could have used a few extra hours of sleep that night. :-)

that is pretty cool, i like when oddities happen like that. i've love to have a machine to hook up to my brain to record all the dreams i have that i don't remember.

Nej - You would have got more than just a couple of hours. :)

Slyde - Good thing I don't wear pants to bed.

dailypiglet - I sooo want that too... although some of my dreams may freak me out if I see them while awake.
