My New Favorite Blog 2008 Brackets Set
After a short delay I present the brackets for the My New Favorite Blog 2008 competition (click the picture for a larger image). For more information on the competition check out this post. But the basic idea is that this is a double elimination tournament, where each round is judged with incredible subjectivity, all in the name of me finding a new blog that I can call my favorite. The first round of the tournament feature the following parings:1. Quit Your Day Job vs. Madge

7. I Have A Bomb Shelter And You Can't Use It vs. Falling On A Bruise
8. No touch Monkey! vs. White rabbit
9. SlydesBlog.com vs. Stranded In Reality
10. Present Simple vs. The Year It Didn't Happen
11. Bug-Eyed Blog vs. The RaeJanes
12. Under the Bridge vs. Will o' the Wisp...
13. Intergalactic Gladiator vs. Light Motifs
14. I Think, Therefore I Am Frustrated vs. Steve's Nude Memphis Blog
15. Slapdashittery vs. Much That Is Hidden
16. Kate Smudges In Earth, Paint and Life vs. Mimi says

Wow, I am excited that so many people are looking forward to this year's competition. I can't wait to start reading the posts.
One of the hardest things about this contest is that I only read the blogs when I am checking on them for the competition, so there are times that I wish I could just check in the next day to see how things are going but I have to wait the five days until it is time to do another round.

Shit. I'm up against a "Nude Memphis" blog. I refuse to post any naked pictures to keep up with that one...
At the end of the day let's just hope that it's fair contest, with no holding or low blows, and with any luck, 'blogging' will be the winner :)

The Year it Didn't Happen -- one of the blogs in your competition gets blog browser points from the Gare Bear -- great point about everyone falling over themselves eating the stuff that heightens sexual arousal and moods but secretly sterilizes the user. Yes, a good snapshot of stupid forms of consumerism that really aren't in the best interest of the consumer.
