Star Wars as a Kid

I was thinking back to my younger years the other day, and I was thinking about how I used to go to one of my mom's friends house and listen to the Star Wars soundtrack. But then as I got to think about it I seemed to remember watching the movie, not listing to it over at the house. Then it dawned on me, I was watching Star Wars on Laser Disc. I had confused the disc with a record in my mind and never sorted it out until just then. Sweet sweet revelation.

Speaking of kids and Star Wars check out the synopsis of the story by a three year old:

The Shiny Guy! Obie Kanobi.

Too cute.

Thinking about my younger years, too, and waiting in long, long lines on three separate occasions to SEE Star Wars. I don't wait in line for any movie these days!

"Nobie Kanobi".

Aw! How adorable. On another, somewhat related note, I'm in awe of that child's vocabulary! Because of that I've got to drill my own three year-old until she can at least recite the "Gettysburg Address". For real.

@earl -in the Star Wars world all children are taught that.

@natsthename -Last movie I wated in line for was the last Pirates, the next one will be Indy.

@jennyjinx -I request that you post a video of that too.

Oh my god, that was cute!!!

I think I need to break out the video camera, and start asking my 6 year old questions. Too funny.

It is, it is an exciting movie!

everyone else stole what I was going to say, except that I was very impressed with her ability to say all of the character names.
