WinMX PNP Network Mysteriously Ends Operations

Slyck News (article)

Currently, the homepage, the homepage, the WinMX PNP Network and all of its host caches are down. It is impossible to connect to the network, and those remaining online will only stay online as long as their host supernodes do.

Boo. WinMX was, by far, the best file sharing program out there, and was the best at finding new subbed animes. Because of WinMX Nicole and I were able to watch the first few episodes of a lot of anime series, which resulted in us buying .hack, Fruits Basket, Love Hina, Chobits, Strawberry Eggs, Noir, and His and Hers. Ever since I have been off of WinMX (thanks to K-State) I have bought only two new anime DVD's and they were both only $5 apiece. (Likewise for music too, many of my favorites...that I have bought CD's of (Lemon Jelly, John Mayer, Count the Stars...) are from first hearing them through WinMX.)

Oh well, when i get off campus I'll have to get going on BitTorrent, or what ever is better by then. I really miss being up-to-date on anime and music.
I’ll miss you WinMX.
