The Flyer has landed

The Manhattan Mercury (article)

Pilot Steve Fossett completed his quest to become the first person to fly around the world non-stop early this afternoon when the Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer touched down in Salina. The plane landed at 1:20 p.m., 66 and one-half hours and 23,000 miles after taking off from the same place.

I have been interested in this for a bit now... well it looks like around 66hrs, but anyways, it was fun to keep up on the story as it unfolded. And it was good to see him make it all the way around even though he was short on fuel.

(Another nail in the coffin for these guys.)
