How anonymous do you think the internet is? Well take whatever you answered and divide it by two... then you probably need to subtract the other half of your answer as well...
It logs your IP and can tell based on that where you're at... I at least last logged on from a "non-residential" (ie not a dorm/frat/sorority/campus housing product) location.
