NHL, NHLPA agree on salary cap

thehockeynews.com (article)

The National Hockey League and NHL Players' Association have reportedly agreed to a salary-cap system, giving hope that the league's lengthy lockout could be nearing an end.

It looks like there will be NHL hockey next year. How about we just start playing a season now to make up from missing last year.

This doesn't necessarily mean there is going to be a season yet, but its a good start. They still haven't figured out much as far as the CBA is concerned.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though.

(plus this means that the Avs won't be the Avs at all... $36M will give the Avs Forsberg, Sakic, Foote and Blake.)
