Doctors' kitchen knives ban call

BBC NEWS (article)

A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase - and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings.
They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.

Look, people that want to kill other people are going to do it one way or another. I doubt guns are very available in England, so the next weapon of choice is a knife, and if you take pointy knifes away and then they will kill with baseball bats (or maybe the cricket bat things in England). What they should do is just make killing people illegal and just punish those people. Instead of punishing everyone else who can handle a knife/gun/car/whatever else you can possibly kill some one with.
