Will Wright is to video games as what Einstein was to science. In Will Wright's new work, Spore, you are a life form that evolves all the way to being able to cruse the galaxy. Wait, that doesn't sound that impressive... wait, his games never do, but they always end up being awesome. :)
Seriously, this game will revolutionize the way developers think about games. He lets players make all the content, while he works on developing an engine that can handle anything that the players can throw at it. Also, each 'level' of evolution brings about many new things to do. It is brilliant. Brilliant I say.
If you don't believe me read an article by Game Spy about it. I really hope this game gets made, and by the looks of it, they have already spent a lot of time working on it. So hopefully it will be coming out soon. Then I too can make my own creatures that can demolish other planets...
